In 2024, I discovered bird photography – quite by accident. Although I have always loved birds, bird photography was not something I had ever thought I would do, but sometimes, I can even surprise myself!

I had just embarked on a new adventure – living in Darwin for two years. I was playing with a lens that my best friend had given me years before, and then it happened… I captured my first bird. It’s been bordering on obsession ever since!

Birds in Darwin are like nowhere else in Australia. The variety and volume are just incredible, and once you get started, it is hard to stop.

Heart Flutters is not a business; it is just a platform that I use to share photos and engage with others who are as passionate about birds as I am.
